It was during the wonderful 60’s that tourism along the Riviera expanded and became an international phenomenon, both from an economical and a social point of view.

Each and every small entrepreneur of the Romagna region did his very best to develop and improve this business.

Massimo and his family had already been successfully managing the Globus hotel and bar on the sea front for years.

It was in 1980 that Massimo and Grazia began running the hotel Antares, a small guest house with only a few rooms, just a stone’s throw from the beach.

A few years later, in 1982, they decided on their first big refurbishment: putting in the lift and making the kitchen bigger.

In 1984 alongside the enlargement and modernisation of the rooms the decision was also taken to build new bedrooms.

Between 1986 and 1996, all the bathrooms were modernised and air-conditioning was installed.

In 2000 the new main entrance to the most important road in Cattolica, Viale Carducci, was built.

Together with the new main entrance came the building of the new, heated, multiple Jacuzzi.   

In 2005, thanks to their management skills and professionalism, the Ricci family was able to buy the hotel Confort, a short distance away in Via Dante, the main street for pleasant leisurely walks.

It looks like the prospects for the future are even brighter, thanks to the enthusiasm of the three children Alessandro, Monica and Federico, who are following in the family’s traditional footsteps.

The family has worked in the field of tourism in Cattolica for many years and every year they try to improve and better themselves, in order to assure their clients a wonderful stay.
